It was a busy weekend, with two trailer launches for films that will be carrying Pakistani cinema through Eid, and beyond. It’s an indisputable truth that Nabeel Qureshi’s Quaid e Azam Zindabad and Nadeem Baig’s London Nahi Jaunga will play an extremely important role in getting people back into the cinemas during the Eid ul Azha holidays. And the cast and crew went all out at the trailer reveals. The QAZ trailer was unveiled at the Arts Council in Karachi on June 9 (read about it here) whereas the laacha clad boys of London Nahi Jaunga arrived in a tonga and brought some excitement to the Nueplex Cinema in DHA Karachi this Saturday. Humayun Saeed, when asked about the competition from Thor (also releasing this Eid), said that no blond Westener could attract women the way desi men do; he said Fahad Mustafa and he felt no competition. Vasay said that Humayun Saeed was now like every woman’s reliable husband: dependable.
