Bajao.pk launches a talent hunt to discover the “Nayi Awaaz” of Pakistan

Our local music industry has grown with several young and new artists emerging, especially during the pandemic. However, while some get lucky to attract the spotlight, talent is usually not enough to make yourself known to the world. One must have access to the right opportunities, as well. Many music shows have aired from time to time, but mostly with well-known artists. While that is crucial to  keep the music scene going in the country, it is equally important to promote new voices and talent. And that is what Bajao.pk is doing. Music platform, Bajao.pk is creating the much-needed space for the diverse and hidden musical wonders of the country. The platform aims to recognize and expose the undiscovered musicians in the country by launching an online talent hunt for the “Nayi Awaaz” of Pakistan. “Here are the rules to participate in the competition’s 1st Round. Check out the criteria of how to qualify for the next round. Deadline for submissions: 9th Feb, after this voting will begin on Bajao App!” read the official announcement by the audio and video music streaming app. Taking to social media, Umair Jaswal who will be announcing the winners of the competition, encouraged the unheard musicians to send in their entries for amazing prizes and an opportunity to get their song produced by a leading music producer of Pakistan. Musicians and vocal artists are required to upload their songs on the dedicated web portal. After an initial screening the videos will be uploaded on the Bajao.pk, Bajao App, Facebook, and Instagram. Listeners will first vote for the top 10, then top 5, and finally the top 3 winners of the competition. The winner gets PKR 500,000 cash and a chance to get their winning song produced by a leading music producer. The second prize is a cash prize of PKR 400,000, while the third prize is PKR 200,000. The “Nayi Awaaz” competition will be hosted by Yashal Shahid, Bilal Khan, and Abdullah Qureshi. This seems like a great initiative to  promote the sound of Pakistan and provide an equal chance to all those amazing musicians who want to make a mark in the world of music.
