Speaking to ARY, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill announced the government would help facilitate his visas and travel abroad. He also added that the government would try to help pay for the surgery he needs. Umer’s wife also made a request for prayers on his Facebook page and said the next 24 hours were very critical. In a follow-up post, she explained that they have only asked the government to help facilitate travel and visas. “We just wanted to clarify that Umer and his family didn’t ask for any financial assistance from government and any entity,” she clarified. Following the update, many celebrities took to social media to pray for Umer Sharif’s health and speedy recovery. They also requested fans to do the same.View this post on Instagram
Sir @ImranKhanPTI, I fervently request you to expedite US visa for veteran comedian #UmerSharif before it’s too late. Being here in US, am more than willing to extend any help required for his treatment. Expecting other industry folks to do whatever they can in their capacity. pic.twitter.com/8T9GqxDN0H
