Fans must have been disappointed that none of their beloved Ramazan series – from
Suno Chanda, Chupke Chupke to
Ishq Jalebi – are renewing this year. However, that doesn’t mean that they won’t be able to see their favourite couples; HaShi (played by Arslan Naseer and Aymen Saleem) are coming back in a new setting with new roles this time.
Saima Akram Chaudhry has promised two fresh concepts with more entertaining content for Ramazan in 2022. So, it is time to relax and wait for a daily dose of family entertainment till
chand raat.
Let’s have a look at who is offering what!
Chaudhry and Sons
Featuring a never-seen-before
jori Imran Ashraf and Ayeza Khan as the lead pair, the drama boasts a stellar cast. It includes veterans like Sohail Ahmed, Asma Abbas, Shagufta Ejaz, Irsa Ghazal, Noor ul Hassan as well as Yasir Nawaz, Saniya Shamshad, Madiha Rizvi amongst others.

Written by Saima Akram Chaudhry who has
Suno Chanda series,
Ishq Jalebi and
Chupke Chupke to her credit, this will definitely be a laugh riot. We have seen Ayeza in a comic role in
Chupke Chupke last Ramazan, but Imran is mostly known for his serious portrayals. 2022 is going to be the year when Imran Ashraf will make the most of his comical timings, first in
Chaudhry and Sons and then in his film release on Eid ul Fitr,
Dum Mastam.
The drama is said to be a thriller-comedy, directed by Syed Wajhat Hussain, revolving around a
desi family and will air on Geo Entertainment. The title also reminds of the classic play
Khawaja and Son.
Paristan
Arslan Naseer and Aymen Saleem aka the Hadi and Mishi
jori is back in
Paristan. Written by Samra Bukhari and directed by Ali Hasan,
Paristan stars many fresh faces including Merub Ali, Junaid Jamshaid Niazi alongside Javaria Saud, Mira Sethi, Navin Waqar, Asad Siddiqui and Ali Safina. Taimoor Salauddin aka Mooroo will also make his debut on television with the drama.

Mira and Mooroo will reprise iconic characters – Zubaida and Amanullah — that they play in their YouTube videos. Comedian Danish Ali will make his TV debut with the drama.
Paristan will air on Hum TV.

Hum Tum
Though much has not been known about
Hum Tum, HUM TV recently released two teasers to make things easier. Starring Ahad Raza Mir and Ramsha Khan as well as Sara Khan and Junaid Khan as the two leading pairs,
Hum Tum is directed by Danish Nawaz. The cast also includes Muhammad Ahmed, Farhan Ali Agha, Adnan Jaffer, Uzma Baig, Arjumand Rahim and Munazzah Arif.
Written by Saima Akram Chaudhry,
Hum Tum is “a modern, humorous and Gen-Z rendition of a hate to love story between two youngsters.” It tries to explore if opposites really attract or is it all a farce? Neha played by the gorgeous and talented Ramsha Khan and Adam played by the dashing Ahad Raza Mir encircles just that.
Will the two chemistry students be able to put their contradicting likes and dislikes aside for each other’s sake and develop chemistry of their own? Let’s wait till Ramazan to find out.
Which one are you most excited about?
