Ayesha Omar
Actor, host and entrepreneur Ayesha Omar, chose to wear a custom-made black dress by designer Fahad Hussayn, while she bagged the Style Icon Award at the event. The actress accessorized her look with a pair of stunning earrings by Javeri Jewellery. An award well-deserved, because Ayesha rarely fails to get her red carpet look wrong.
Clad in a white and gold Sania Maskatiya outfit, the gorgeous Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha continued to dress in the understated mood that she’s been wearing for quite some time now. Can’t say whether it’s a deliberate choice or whether she just doesn’t care because Hania has lately been quite nonchalant on the red carpet. While we love her bold red lip, we can’t say the same about her green nails UNLESS the colour coordination was a subtle nod to the Palestinian flag. To add some bling, Hania Aamir chose to accessorize her look with exquisite jewelry from Allure by MHT.
The London Nahi Jaunga star opted for a traditional look for the IPPAs. Mehwish Hayat wore a delicately hand-embroidered sari by Shamsha Hashwani, which she paired with a custom-made matching silk shawl. She opted for a messy hairdo and kept the accessories minimal.
The sultry model went with a black and gold Humayun Alamgir outfit for the event, where she also picked up the Best Model award. Nimra wore her hair in a tight, neat bun, taming her curls. She finished her look with statement earrings that complimented the statement gold bustier. The outfit was fusion crossing over into confusion, as the gold cuffs pulled an otherwise western silhouette into desi territory.
For the red carpet, the very handsome Sheheryar Munawar opted for a custom-made suit by designer Ahmed Bham. The bespoke jacket was paired with a brown shirt and matching pants, while he complemented the overall look with a maroon tie. We tried, but couldn’t understand the floppy hair.
The Laal Kabootar actress went for an outfit displaying rich peacock shades by Beirut based designer Reem Kachmar Couture. While she went for a dewy makeup look and left her hair loose, Mansha Pasha opted for minimal accessories to keep the focus on her elaborate gown. Nothing, actually, could have taken the focus away from the elaborate gown.
The versatile actress, who won the Best Film Debut award for her movie Dum Mastam, wore a steel grey Rashmi Kumari creation for the evening. As for her makeup and hair, Amar Khan opted for bold, smoky eyes, nude lips and a tight updo. A good attempt, let down by a less than perfect fit on the lower half of the ensemble.
Azfar Rehman opted for a striped grey suit by the brand Inchi Tape. The host for the evening completed his look with a classic black shirt and grey scarf, which we failed to understand why.
