After Karachi Kings lousy performance at the seventh instalment of Pakistan Super League (PSL), filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi took to Twitter to share a suggestion.
“I think Karachi Kings should have taken Fahad Mustafa in their team, he would have performed better than some of their players! Itna cricket khelta hai inko nazar nahi ata hai kya [He plays so much cricket, can’t they (Karachi Kings) see?],” he asked.
To this, Fahad who has worked on several projects with Nabeel offered an even better proposal.
“Kia karen aap film banayen na [you cast me in a film]. I will stop playing,” he suggested.
Nabeel thought it was, in fact, a good idea.
“Haha ye bhi sahi hai chalo cricket per film bana letey hain dono cheezien hojaye gi haha [You’re right! Let’s make a film about cricket. Killing two birds with one stone].”
The Twitter exchange made fans curious to know more. It would be an interesting film since cricket and Fahad both share a massive following in Pakistan.
Fahad has previously starred in Nabeel and Fizza Ali Meerza’s Na Maloom Afraad, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Actor in Law and Load Wedding.
He will also be seen in their next titled Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad with Mahira Khan. The film is slated to release this year.
