As Fawad Khan is basking in the success of a magnum opus like The Legend of Maula Jatt, director Faisal Qureshi has revealed the trailer of his debut feature film, featuring Fawad, titled Money Back Guarantee. And here we get to witness a Fawad poles apart from his Maula Jatt avatar.
A mix of action, comedy and thriller, Money Back Guarantee (MBG) is also a multi-starrer with big stars like Fawad Khan, Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Ayesha Omar, Javed Sheikh, Jan Rambo, Gohar Rasheed, Hina Dilpazir, Shayan Khan, Mani, Kiran Malik, Ali Safina, Marhoom Ahmad Bilal, Adnan Jaffer, Shafaat Ali and Aqdas Waseem.
It has already been established that the film involves a bank robbery, masked men, vaults of cash, prison cell, chase and fight sequences, luxury cars, lots of action and drama. The 1-minute 53-second trailer appears to emphasize that the fast-paced caper comedy is about men and women who are tired of being looted, lied to and killed. So, they plan to return the favour and take revenge through the same scheme: by looting, lying and killing if necessary.
In true-blue Faisal Qureshi style, reminiscent of some of his famous telecom ads, the trailer gives a hint of comedy through relatable situations. A voiceover reminds us that despite what what we are made to believe, all power actually lies only in wealth as we hear people chant: ‘we want money’.

The many faces of Fawad Khan
The characters, played by Mani, Gohar, Mikaal, Kiran and Fawad, seem to have exaggerated comical traits as can be predicted by their looks and expressions. MBG is going to be a hilarious situational comedy and satirical commentary involving a heist which has gone wrong.
The mantra of the film is “agar daro gey, tou maro gey… agar maaro gey, to aaghay barho gey [If you fear, you’ll die… If you kill, you’ll go ahead in life].” MBG looks like a thriller with non-stop developments and a story that will keep you entertained. Writer and director Faisal Qureshi hasn’t revealed much in the trailer to keep viewers excited for the ensemble cast.
It is reported that Fawad Khan will have Wasim Akram as his nemesis in the film. Fawad’s look in the film is quite different with a moustache and three-piece suits, and one can expect that he has a lot to offer in this new genre. There is also a special appearance of Ali Rehman Khan.
Money Back Guarantee is produced by Zashko Films in collaboration with Game Over Productions. The film is scheduled to b released on 21st April, 2023.
