Nimra Bucha garners praise following the trailer release of action-comedy ‘Polite Society’

The powerhouse of talent, Nimra Bucha proves her mantle once again by starring in Nida Manzoor’s family action-comedy film Polite Society. Nimra Bucha will be playing the role of the antagonist in the film as the evil mother-in-law. The veteran actor has time and again dazzled the audience with her performance. Her recent performances include Najma in Ms. Marvel, Batool Jan in Churails, and Zeenat in Sarmad Khoosat’s film Kamli. Polite Society follows a teenager Ria Khan who dreams of becoming a stunt woman. Her world is turned upside-down when her sister Lena drops out of art school to get engaged. Her arising suspicions on her sister’s fiancé and  mother-in-law (played by Nimra Bucha) forces her to spy on them and eventually pull a wedding heist to save her sister from the evil in-laws. According to the Deadline, the film stars Priya Kansara (Bridgerton), Ritu Arya (Red Notice), Shobu Kapoor (We Are Lady Parts), Ella Bruccoleri (Call The Midwife), Seraphina Beh (Top Boy), Shona Babayemi, Nimra Bucha (Ms. Marvel), Jeff Mirza (We Are Lady Parts), and Akshay Khanna (Chloe) and is written and directed by Nida Manzoor whose credits include creating the Channel 4 series We Are Lady Parts. The project is produced by Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner and Parkville Pictures’ Olivier Kaempfer. John Pocock is executive producer.
