Versatile actor and director Usman Mukhtar, along with Meiraj Haq, have come up with a phenomenal horror story and are all set to blow our minds away with their very own first production, Gulabo Rani.
Usman and Meiraj launched their production house, Eastern Terrestrial Studios (ET Studios) in April 2022. And within a month, the duo has now announced their first film in collaboration with Down Town Films and Channel Tek.
Ali Mudar, who has earlier written Usman’s award-winning short Bench, has also written the film along with This Millenial Rants. The eerie poster of Gulabo Rani is out and it features three boys who are giving us the right creepy vibes.
The cast includes a very enticing mix of young actors who are equally passionate about this project, namely Usama Javed Haider, Meiraj Haq, Danial Afzal, Natasha Ejaz and Omer Abdullah. Khushhal Khattak has a special appearance that we are looking forward to.
Usman Mukhtar has always been appreciated for his stellar performances on screen. Now, the actor is offering us something new as a director and producer with a horror short.
“I have always loved acting but it was about time I went behind the screen and took charge of the camera. Producing and directing Gulabo Rani was a great experience, and working with these young ones was another level of fun all together,” Usman said in a press statement.

Talking about working on a horror short film, Usman shared that how the set was during the filming.
“There were moments of extreme horror and then moments where we all just cracked up laughing. So, the chemistry between the entire crew was just amazing and I can’t wait for everyone to see this true labor of love that we have prepared for you all,” he stated.
The film has songs by Natasha Ejaz, Nimra Gilani and MRKLE.
Usman Mukhtar and Meiraj Haq created Eastern Terrestrial Studios to give opportunities to new talent and skilled workers who are looking for a break in the entertainment industry. The initiative has started bearing fruits as we witness the new faces in the cast of Gulabo Rani.
