Veteran actor Durdana Butt passes away after battling cancer

Veteran actor Durdana Butt has passed away on Thursday after eight days on a ventilator at a hospital in Karachi. The news of her tragic passing was shared by actor and RJ Khalid Malik on Instagram. She had been battling cancer for the past few years. “Durdana (dodi) apa has transitioned from this realm back to her Creator. Inna lillahi wa inna illahi rajioon,” he wrote. “The wise. The humorous. The insightful Durdana Butt is a special soul now back in His embrace.” Last week, Khalid had shared that she had been put on the ventilator and requested fans for prayers. Following the news of her passing, several fans, dignitaries and celebs took to social media to share their grief and mourn her death. The renowned star is best remembered for her roles in dramas, most notably Fifty Fifty, Aangan Terha, Ruswai, Intezaar and Tanhaiyaan.
